"NUGGET" or the "BLONDE BOMBSHELL" as she is better known as, was owned by Jay Goldsworthy and Trahern Kennels. Due to Jays illness Nugget came back to live with Trahern Kennels and was mainly handled by Trahern Kennels during her show career. Sadly Jays illness "Wegeners" took her life unexpectedly in March 2007. On the day of Jays funeral Clare (full sister to Nugget) went into labour and gave birth. Trahern Black Gold was named in Jays memory. Vale Jay Goldsworthy, I truly thought you could beat it.

Nugget not only gained her title at 13 months of age but was sitting on nearly 300 points, but due to the ANKC ruling she could not gain her title till she achieved a further 25 points after 12 months of age.
After gaining her Runner Up Best Exhibit in Group & finishing off her Puppy class with a Puppy in Show at the Adelaide Hills Champ show late January the weekend before her birthday, Nugget became seriously ill on her 1st birthday, the weekend after and spent time at the vets and underwent major bowel operation (zipper surgery), where we removed Hessian and plastic (which never showed up on xray). Nugget has now recovered but still has a taste for things she shouldn't be eating so she is watched very carefully. So it is with sheer relief that we do announce her Championship title.
We would like to thank all the judges, breed specialists and all breeds judges who have recognized and awarded her during the past year being handled by Trahern Kennels. Nugget also qualified for the prestigious "Battle of the Champions" and Dogtainers Puppy of the Year award. Nugget was the youngest qualifier for Battle of the Champions in 2006.
